 Question :   Pair your phone with the Jawbone ERA
Answer :  

 

Follow these steps to pair your Jawbone ERA with your phone.


1. Prepare your headset (using the ShakeShake motion or with the TALK button)
Using ShakeShake: Power ON the headset. Activate pairing mode on the headset shaking it 4 times. When the LED starts to flash red and white, the headset is in pairing mode


Using the TALK button: Start with the headset powered OFF. Press and hold the TALK button and slide the power switch ON. Wait for the LED to flash red and white. The headset is in pairing mode.


2. Prepare your phone to search for Bluetooth devices

· On an iPhone: Go to Settings > General > Bluetooth and enable Bluetooth
· On Blackberry: Go to Settings/Options > Bluetooth and enable Bluetooth
· On an Android phone: Go to Settings > Wireless & Network > Bluetooth Settings and enable Bluetooth

3. In your phone's Bluetooth settings Add, Search or Scan for devices

4. When Jawbone ERA appears, select it.

5. If asked for a passcode, enter 0000. (some phones will not require a passcode)

 


Note: To pair Jawbone ERA to another phone, repeat steps 1 - 5


 Question :   Can I answer phone calls with ERA technique?
Answer :  

Calls can be answered by either pressing the TALK button located at the back end of your headset, using the TapTap feature, or using the ShakeShake feature by shaking your Jawbone ERA quickly 2 times to answer.

 Question :   How do I increase or decrease the volume level on my Jawbone ERA?
Answer :  

Use the volume control on your phone while on an active call.

Or, while on a call or listening to music, PRESS and HOLD the TALK BUTTON and the volume level will cycle up and down. When you find the most comfortable volume level, release the button and your volume will be set.

 

Automatic Volume Control

NoiseAssassin® 3.0 intelligently adjusts incoming call volume to your surroundings so that you can hear better. Volume will automatically increase when you enter a noisy place and decrease when you enter a quiet place.


 Question :   How do I charge my Jawbone ERA?
Answer :  

Jawbone ERA can be charged via mini USB port locateon the back of the headset. Use your computer's USB port.

While the headset is being the charged, the LED will flash (or pulsate) red. When charged, the LED will turn to solid white.


 Question :   Pair your phone with the Jawbone ICON or ICON HD
Answer :  

Follow these steps to pair your Jawbone ICON or ICON HD with your phone.

1. Start with the headset OFF (slide the power switch to OFF, the position where you cannot see the blue indicator).

2. Press and hold the TALK button

3. Slide the power switch ON.

4. The LED will start to flash red and white.

5. Release the TALK button.  The headset is now in discovery or pairing mode.

6. On your phone, go to the Bluetooth settings and search for (or add) Bluetooth devices.

7. When Jawbone ICON appears, select it.

8. If prompted for a passkey, enter 0000

 Question :   Pair JAMBOX with your phone
Answer :  

Follow the steps below to pair JAMBOX with your phone:

1. On your JAMBOX, hold the ON/OFF SWITCH in the upmost position for about 3 seconds.

2. Wait for the LED RING on the tip of the switch to flash red & white. You will hear JAMBOX say that it is ready to pair.

3. Release the ON/OFF SWITCH to the middle or on position. JAMBOX is now in discovery or pairing mode.

 

4. On your phone, go to your Bluetooth settings and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on or enabled. Then search for or add Bluetooth devices. If you want detailed pairing instructions for your particular phone

5. When JAMBOX by Jawbone appears in the list of Bluetooth devices, select it.

6. If prompted for a passkey on your phone, enter 0000.

 

To pair a second phone, repeat steps 1 through 6.

 No Bluetooth? JAMBOX also connects via 3.5 mm stereo cable. Plug one end of your cable into the headphone jack of your audio device and the other end into the audio input on your JAMBOX


 Question :   Connect JAMBOX with MyTALK

Connect JAMBOX with MyTALK

Note: Turn OFF the JAMBOX before connecting to your computer. MyTALK will not recognize the JAMBOX unless it is OFF.

 To begin using MyTALK you need to have an account. It’s free to sign up. Click the MyTALK link at the top of the page, fill out the form, and follow the instructions to download the Jawbone Updater software to your computer. **User Guide MyTALK Click**


Sign into MyTALK and connect JAMBOX to your computer via the USB cable that came with your JAMBOX. JAMBOX must be turned OFF to be recognized by MyTALK. To connect, plug the micro-USB fitting into your JAMBOX and the USB fitting into your computer.

Where can I download LiveAudio?

Go to mytalk.jawbone.com to get the free update for your JAMBOX. LiveAudio is part of the JAMBOX Software 2.1 update.

 LiveAudio is great for personal enjoyment and discovering enhanced acoustic and spatial detail in your music. Here's what you need to know.
 
After syncing the JAMBOX 2.1 Software Update, JAMBOX settings are configured to give you the same sound that JAMBOX originally shipped with from the factory. This is  with LiveAudio OFF and Sound Clarity OFF.

 - Turn LiveAudio ON and OFF by holding the "+" and "-" buttons on JAMBOX until you hear a tone.
 - When LiveAudio is ON, the maximum volume is not quite as loud.

 - When you need a volume boost, turn LiveAudio OFF and press the "+" button for additional volume.

- LiveAudio only works when connected wirelessly via Bluetooth.

- For the best effect when LiveAudio is ON, place JAMBOX directly in front of you.

- The LiveAudio effect will vary depending on audio format and the way each piece of content was recorded.

Factory Reset for Headsets & Speaker

The following content applies to these headsets: ICON, ERA, ICON HD

 

To restore your headset to the original factory settings, follow the instructions below. This may help fix performance issues that a Soft Reset is unable to fix.

 

Turn OFF your headset. 

Turn OFF or disable Bluetooth on all paired devices. 

Turn ON your headset. 

Wait for LED to blink white. 

Press the TALK button 6 times in quick succession. 

The LED will turn solid red for approximately 6 seconds. 

While the LED is solid red, press and hold the TALK button until the LED blinks red and white. 

When the LED blinks red and white that means your factory reset was successful and your headset is now in pairing mode.

 

Note: The factory reset procedure will restore the device to original factory settings and delete all device pairings.
